Summary of Game

Paris is a strange game. When last I checked Paris, it wasn't accepting new characters (at least, no new supernaturals). However, it remains up and has been for eleven years or so; it is, in a way, a tribute to the game's late former wiz (Aconite), and the current administration has never been eager to shut it down completely.

Paris is run by Saffron/Misterioso, the same woman who runs The Dreaming and Aconite's mother. She is unusual in that she is one of the very rare game goddesses who has never been accused of being a psycho; the only complaint anyone gives about Saffron is that she's too damn nice, and as complaints go, that's not a bad one. She's definitely odd, but if she's insane, it's a very benign sort of madness.

Spawned the grudge-match spin-off MU* of Med Nights. Is, itself, a grudge-match spin-off MU* of Bloodletting.

Paris is notable for having had (as far as this editor knows) the only ever full-fledged Arcanum sphere, complete with wizard, admin, active players, plots specifically for them, and everything the "normal" WoD spheres got. This was largely because of Aconite's love of the Arcanum, the most underrated of the World of Darkness' hunter organizations because they don't mess around with guns and swords and instead can be found thumbtacking newspaper articles to their walls like crazy people. After his passing, the sphere-qua-sphere dissipated over the next few months.

Rumor has it that Saffron, with the help of some few fine folks, is working on a new version of Paris with new backstories, characters, code, and as yet unselected staff; she keeps the older version up for already approved characters to play if they wish, and for mortal chargen. She can be slow as a turtle, so hard to know the opening date for this project. This 'Paris, Chapter 2' has been in the works since 2001; Paris players long ago stopped getting their hopes up. Prophets of doom may want to refer to 'Treyvan'.
